A great movie for everyone to see,
with the music of the Beatles set
against the backdrop of the 1960's &
the social upheaval of outmoded 50's
culture.

With no fewer than eight couples
vying for our attention, Love
Actually is like the Boston
Marathon of romantic comedies, and
everybody wins. Having mastered the
genre as the writer of Four
Weddings and a Funeral,
Notting Hill, and Bridget
Jones's Diary, it appears that
first-time director Richard Curtis
is just like his screenplays: He
just wants to be loved, and he'll go
to absurdly appealing lengths to win
our affection.
Get
ready to fall in love with the
year's wittiest romantic comedy! Can
two high-powered divorce attorneys
make it as man and wife? Find out
with the romance that proves that
love always gets the last word.
As
upscale sitcoms go, Something's
Gotta Give has more to offer
than most romantic comedies.
Obviously working through some
semi-autobiographical issues
regarding "women of a certain age,"
writer-director Nancy Meyers brings
adequate credibility and
above-average intelligence to what
is essentially (but not exclusively)
a fantasy premise, in which an aging
lothario who's always dated younger
women (Jack Nicholson, more or less
playing himself) falls for a
successful middle-aged playwright
(Diane Keaton) who's convinced she's
past the age of romance, much less
sexual re-awakening.
It's
1985 and Adam Sandler is the ultimate master of
ceremonies...until he is left at the altar at
his own wedding. He starts to pick up the pieces
of his heart after meeting Drew Barrymore but
she's about to have a wedding of her own.
Relive
all the fun, laughter, and
irresistible music of SISTER ACT --
the inspired comedy hit that packed
pews everywhere! Whoopi Goldberg
stars as a sassy, low-rent lounge
singer forced to hide out from the
mob in the last place on earth
anyone would look for her -- a
convent. While she's there, her
irreverent behavior attracts a flock
of faithful followers and turns the
nuns' tone-deaf choir into a soulful
chorus of swingin', singin' sisters.
But when the group earns rave
reviews, her sudden celebrity
jeopardizes her hidden identity.
Harvey Keitel and Kathy Najimy join
a heavenly cast in this
habit-forming comedy bursting with
'60s Motown hits.
Sandra
Bullock stars as a bumbling female
FBI agent assigned to go undercover
as a participant in the Miss United
States beauty pageant when it is
discovered that one of the
contestants is being targeted for
murder.
Sandra
Bullock returns as Federal Agent Gracie Hart in
this action comedy and goes undercover in Las
Vegas to rescue her best friend, the Miss United
States Pageant winner.
Lies
and deceptionit's all in the family
when Robin Williams must convince
his future in-laws that he's as
upstanding and uptight as they are
in "the funniest comedy you'll see
this year" (Gene Shalit, "Today
Show"). Co-starring Gene Hackman,
Nathan Lane, Dianne Wiest, Christine
Baranski and Calista Flockhart, The
Birdcage is an uproarious comedy
that will send your spirits soaring.
Armand (Williams) and Albert (Lane)
have built the perfect life for
themselves tending to their gaudy
Miami nightclub.
Staving
off suicidal thoughts, Hunter Adams
commits himself into a psychiatric
ward, where he not only garners the
nickname "Patch," but learns the joy
in helping others. To this end, he
decides to go to medical school,
where he clashes with the staid
conventions of the establishment as
he attempts to inject humor and
humanity into his treatment of the
patients ("We need to start treating
the patient as well as the disease,"
he declares throughout the film).
Here's
the killer comedy hit that's loaded
with outrageous fun! For Martin
Blank (John Cusack -- HIGH FIDELITY,
SERENDIPITY), a hit man stuck in a
career rut, attending his 10-year
high school reunion is about the
last thing he's in the mood for! But
when the prospects of rekindling an
old flame (Minnie Driver -- GOOD
WILL HUNTING) and pulling off one
final job convince him to go, things
are looking up ... that is, until
Martin's arch rival (Dan Aykroyd)
shows up aiming to blow the
competition away! For hilarious
comedy entertainment that's packed
with action, GROSSE POINTE BLANK is
a surefire knockout!
Henry
Roth (Sandler) is a veterinarian
living in Hawaii who enjoys the
company of vacationing women. He
leaves the playboy life behind after
he falls for Lucy (Barrymore), who
suffers from short-term memory loss.
Since she can never remember meeting
him, Henry has to romance Lucy every
single day and hope that she falls
for him.
Out
of work father Robin Williams find
himself suddenly divorced without
custody of his kids. To solve this
problem, he disguises himself as an
old Scottish nanny to get hired by
his ex-wife and be closer to his
kids.
Though
she made her first movie at the age of 13, Diane
Lane has only blossomed into a true star in her
30s, and Under the Tuscan Sun marks her
full flowering. After a brutal divorce, Frances
(Lane, Unfaithful, A Walk on the Moon)
is persuaded by her friend Patti (Sandra Oh) to
take a tour of Italy--where, on a whim that she
hopes will rescue her from her desperate
unhappiness, she buys a rundown villa and sets
out to renovate it. Along the way, she gets
advice from a former Fellini actress, meets a
scrumptious Italian lover, and helps support
Patti after her own relationship derails.
The
Addams step out of Charles Addams' cartoons.
They live with all of the trappings of the
macabre (including a detached hand for a
servant) and are quite wealthy. Added to this
mix is a crooked accountant and his loan shark
and a plot to slip in the shark's son into the
family as their long lost Uncle Fester. Can the
false Fester find his way into the vault before
he is discovered?
